2022

SWEB, in partnership with Glooscap First Nation, is awarded a power purchase agreement (PPA) as part of the Nova Scotia Rate-Base Procurement for the Weavers Mountain Wind Energy Project. This 94.4 MW project represents the largest project SWEB is awarded in Canada.

2019

SWEB, in partnership with Woodstock First Nation, commissions its first wind energy project in New Brunswick, Canada. The Wisokolamson Energy Project is an 18 MW project with five (5) Vestas V126-3.6 MW units on a 118 m tower.

2016

SWEB’s third phase of Community Feed-In Tariff (COMFIT) projects reaches commercial operation. This phase of projects includes the Walton, Hardwood Lands, Baddeck, and Brenton Community Wind Projects. The total capacity of this third tranche of projects amounted to 11.68 MW. The wind turbine technology includes both the Vestas V100 and Vestas V110 units on a 95 m tower.

2015

SWEB’s second phase of Community Feed-In Tariff (COMFIT) projects reaches commercial operation. This phase of projects includes the Martock Ridge, Nine Mile River, Black Pond, North Beaverbank, and Isle Madame Community Wind Projects. The total capacity of this second tranche of projects amounted to 21.98 MW. The wind turbine technology includes the Vestas V100 on a 95 m tower.

2014

SWEB’s first phase of Community Feed-In Tariff (COMFIT) projects reaches commercial operation and represents the first phase of projects in the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. This phase of projects includes the Parker Mountain, Little River, and Saint Rose Community Wind Projects. The total capacity of this first tranche of projects amounted to 5.97 MW. The wind turbine technology includes the Vestas V100 on a 95 m tower.
