W.E.B Production Results – February 2026

Weather rollercoaster with below-average wind levels – monthly production below plan

Total monthly production amounted to 154,412 MWh, coming in below the planned target.

February presented two very different weather patterns. The first half of the month was often overcast and mild. Mid-month then brought snow and freezing temperatures, before milder air returned toward the end of the month, hinting at the start of spring. Due to the combination of these changing weather conditions and the resulting below-average wind speeds, planned wind production could not be achieved in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada, and the United States. In contrast, western and parts of southern Europe experienced slightly stronger low-pressure influence, allowing production targets in France and Italy to be exceeded.

Due to the generally overcast conditions and solar modules frequently covered with snow, planned production in the solar segment could not be achieved in Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the United States. Weather conditions were somewhat sunnier in Italy, where production exceeded the planned target.
